Kristie is the Office Manager at Habitat. She calls Bartlesville OK home, however as an air force wife she has traveled all over the world. Although not originally excited to move to Idaho, she now truly believes that Boise is one of the best kept secrets in the world. When not at Habitat, Kristie enjoys spelunking, hiking and playing video games. Kristie is an avid animal lover and has two cats, Mau Mau and Tom; and a pitty named Layla. She also feels that a special bond exists between herself and the office cat Stella, that hopefully someday Stella will reciprocate. Kristie loves to learn and is currently focusing her scholastic energy on a degree in Business Management.
As a child, Sarah said she drove her parents crazy with the question “Can we keep him?” in reference to the latest stray cat or dog brought home. Sarah has been involved with animal rescue her whole life, leading up to her current role as Board member and Treasurer for Northwest Animal Companions. Her career took a different path, including jobs as a CPA and Director of Financial Reporting for Albertsons. When the finance and corporate world became less attractive to Sarah, she re-evaluated life and what made her happy. The answer was animals! With that Sarah became a student again, earning an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology, while working the swing shift as a Veterinary Assistant at WestVet Emergency. Sarah is thrilled to now be a member of the Habitat team and back in the day world. She says "I couldn’t be happier that my life went to the DOGS (and Cats)!"
After completing an Avian Husbandry internship at the Tracy Aviary in Salt Lake City, Erin was excited to return to Habitat Veterinary Hospital. Currently, her time is spent between attending school in preparation for studying Veterinary Medicine, helping out as a technician at Habitat and spending time with friends and family. Erin enjoys cooking, the outdoors, wildlife and bird watching, the art of bookmaking, silk screening and other great crafts. Erin is the proud guardian of Diego, a very long haired cat and the infamous Scooter Moose deChumber a French Bulldog.
Lauren is one of the newest members of Habitat and couldn't be more excited about it. She has been enjoying expanding her knowledge of veterinary medicine through technician work. Lauren is one semester away from earning her degrees in both pre-veterinary medicine as well as Biology. She will continue to gain valuable experience at Habitat before furthering her education in veterinary school. Lauren is the president of the pre-veterinary club at Boise State University and does toxicity research in a biochemistry lab. Lauren also enjoys hiking, playing piano, and trying out new recipes.
Tennyson comes to us from the great state of Montana. She graduated from The University of Montana (B.A.) in Zoology with a Biology emphasis in 2001. In 2005, she completed a degree from Central Washington University where she received a Master of Science in Experimental Psychology, with an emphasis in non-human primate behavior.
Tennyson has worked as a small animal veterinary technician for the past 4 years and has also enjoyed her past experiences working with great apes, both at the San Diego Zoo and at private sanctuaries.
Her mixed breed dog, Zoey, likes to accompany her in her favorite activities, such as camping, hiking, cross country skiing, water sports, traveling and reading.
Emilee Kottcamp-Allen is one of the newer members to join the Habitat Health Center team. She is currently working on her Pre-veterinary degree after finishing a B.A in Anthropology at Boise State University. She is currently the President of the BSU Pre-veterinary club, volunteering at the Idaho Humane Society's SPOT clinic, and full-time pet mom. She also enjoys mountain biking and backpacking with her husband and pit bull Charlee during her breaks from school. She is looking forward to being a part of such a diverse team and learning everything Habitat has to offer.
As a new resident of Idaho and receptionist for Habitat, Robbie is taking in all the scenery. She has worked in the area of veterinary medicine for about 3 years and is excited to now be at Habitat and share all that the clinic has to offer! When she is not at Habitat, she spends her time watching the Food Network, cooking, and running/hiking/playing with her mixed breed dog, Barrett. She still hasn't decided on what path she wants to take in terms of a career, but hopes to soon return to school to finish up her degree in business.
